Located along the banks of the Hayakawa River, Hotel Indigo Hakone Gora has announced its “Early Summer Creations” cocktail series, available from June 1 to August 31, 2026. The menu at Riverside Kitchen & Bar features eleven original drinks designed to reflect the seasonal transition, ranging from heat-infused vodka blends to cocktails utilizing traditional Japanese ingredients like matcha and shiso.

Spicy and Unique Fire-Kissed Vodka Collection

The selection includes five spicy cocktails centered on ABSOLUT® TABASCO™ Vodka, which provides a foundation of intense heat. These drinks incorporate local elements such as shichimi togarashi (seven-spice chili) and kabosu (a Japanese citrus) pepper. Notable entries include the Mango Chaw, which balances tropical sweetness with spicy vodka, and the Shichimi Dog, a Japanese-inspired variation of the Salty Dog that uses citrusy kabosu and a chili-spiced rim.

Bold Matcha and Premium Tequila Creations

The promotion also features a “Bold Matcha” collection, utilizing “Kanade” Japanese craft liqueur to produce drinks with a vivid green hue. Options include the Matcha Boston Cooler and the Green Negroni. Alongside these, the “CODIGO Collection” focuses on premium CODIGO Blanco tequila. This series includes the CODIGO Old Fashioned, which has been reconstructed with Japanese components such as umeshu (plum wine), shiso leaves, and crunchy pickled plums. The Ginger Matador is also offered as a refreshing option for the warmer months.
