Swissôtel Nankai Osaka invites guests to experience the agricultural heritage of Fukuoka Prefecture through a seasonal afternoon tea menu. Running from July 1 to August 31, 2026, the offering at The Lounge highlights the “Fruit Kingdom” of Kyushu, featuring premium figs, Shine Muscat grapes, and the renowned teas of Yame.

Seasonal Sweets Featuring Toyomitsuhime Figs
The menu highlights seven varieties of sweets, centering on the “Toyomitsuhime” fig. This Fukuoka-exclusive brand is noted for its honey-like sweetness, with an average sugar content exceeding 17 degrees. The fruit is presented in an Earl Grey tart and a Muscat parfait with Pommery granita. Other seasonal inclusions feature Kyoho grape panna cotta, Yame tea Basque cheesecake, and a mandarin orange and honey mousse that incorporates sustainable fruit canning practices.

Savory Delights and Regional Specialties
The savory selection incorporates local Fukuoka ingredients to balance the sweetness of the fruit. Guests can sample mentaiko (spicy pollock roe) in a mayonnaise sable and Yame tea in a smoked salmon choux salé. The experience is completed with two types of scones—plain and a Toyomitsuhime fig with walnut variety—served alongside a two-hour Dilmah “Tea Maker Series” tea buffet.

Afternoon Tea at The Lounge
Served on the hotel’s 6th floor, the tea service is positioned within the open atmosphere of The Lounge. The Fukuoka Fruit Summer Afternoon Tea is priced at 6,000 JPY on weekdays and 6,500 JPY on weekends and holidays, inclusive of a 13% service charge and 10% consumption tax.
