The Tokyo Station Hotel has announced the return of its Champagne Afternoon Tea at Bar & Café Camellia, shifting the focus from traditional sweets to a menu of French bistro-inspired savory bites. Designed for those who prefer umami-rich flavors over sugar-forward courses, the offering centers on high-quality preparations curated to complement the profile of fine champagne.

Exquisite French Bistro-Inspired Flavors
The menu features an array of French regional and bistro classics rearranged in the hotel’s signature style. Guests can expect Quiche Lorraine and a tartine styled after Alsace’s flammekueche (a thin-crust savory tart). Hearty dishes such as grilled sausage with choucroute and beef bourguignon served over pain perdu (French toast) provide a meal-like experience reminiscent of a Parisian bistro visit.

Classic French Sweets and Tea Selections
While the focus remains on savory items, the experience is balanced by a collection of traditional French pastries. The selection includes canelés with a fragrant exterior and chewy center, Gâteau Basque filled with custard and chestnuts, and a refreshing Provencal fruit salad with champagne jelly. For beverages, guests can choose between a full champagne free-flow plan at 12,000 yen or a tea-focused option at 8,500 yen, which includes ten varieties of tea and a welcome glass of champagne.
