HOSHINOYA Fuji Announces Autumn Forest Glamping Stay 2026

From September 11 to December 2, 2026, HOSHINOYA Fuji invites guests to its “Autumn Forest Glamping Stay,” a program designed to immerse visitors in the changing landscape of Fuji-Hakone-Izu National Park. Located at an altitude of 840–940 meters, the resort utilizes its position on the slopes of the northern foothills of Mount Fuji to offer activities that connect guests with the local ecosystem through sight, scent, and taste.

Immersive Nature Experiences in the Autumn Forest

The resort’s “Autumn Forest Discover Walk” provides a guided exploration of the surrounding pine and cypress forests. Led by a Glamping Master, guests search for seasonal markers such as wild nuts and mushrooms, gaining insight into the biodiversity of the national park. For a more sensory engagement, the “Forest Distillation” (kaoru mori no joryu) sessions allow participants to witness the extraction of essential waters from forest botanicals. Using freshly gathered hinoki (Japanese cypress) and mugwort, the process captures the concentrated aromas of the autumn woods.

Special Evening Lounges and Forest Distillations

During full moon periods, the resort introduces the “Moonlight Lounge,” an experience inspired by the local tsukimachi custom of waiting for the moon to rise. Held on specific dates in September, October, and November, the lounge features moon-themed cocktails and shadow-picture books set by a bonfire. In the afternoons, “Forest Moments” (mori no hitotoki) offers a quieter pace at the Cloud Terrace, where guests can enjoy field coffee brewed over an open fire paired with Yamanashi grape sweets.

Seasonal Gastronomy and the Bonfire Bar

Dining during the program emphasizes local ingredients and the warmth of outdoor cooking. The “Mountain Red Wine Sukiyaki” is served in the privacy of guest cabins, featuring wagyu beef and autumn vegetables simmered in a rich, red wine-based broth. As evening progresses, the Cloud Terrace transforms into a social space with the “Bonfire Bar” and “Forest Concerts.” Guests can prepare their own spiced apple ginger cocktails at the bar while listening to live musical performances that vary daily, creating a communal atmosphere under the forest canopy.
