The Okinawa Harborview Hotel has unveiled a seasonal program of events to coincide with the completion of its “Be Reborn” renovation project. Centered around the newly refurbished garden pool, which reopened in June 2026, the hotel is offering interactive experiences for families staying at the property from July 17 to August 31, 2026. These initiatives aim to blend local culture with hands-on activities, providing younger guests with a distinct perspective on Okinawan hospitality.

Tropical Poolside Experiences
As part of the summer festivities, the hotel is hosting the Tropical Kids’ Cocktail Experience every Friday and Saturday. This activity allows children up to age 12 to assume the role of a bartender, preparing their own non-alcoholic cocktails using Okinawan pineapple juice. Participants are provided with shakers to mix their drinks, which are then served in fruit-shaped tumblers that guests may keep as souvenirs. Held directly by the pool, the session is designed to allow children to participate in their swimwear before or after their time in the water.

Interactive Hotel Adventures
To encourage exploration of the property, the hotel has introduced two engagement-led challenges. The “Find the Shisa!” event invites children to locate at least three shisa—traditional Okinawan guardian lion statues—hidden throughout the hotel, including the main entrance. Guests who document their findings with photographs are awarded a glowing bracelet for use during nighttime pool sessions. Additionally, a “Janken Game” (rock-paper-scissors) allows children to interact with hotel staff to collect stickers, which can be exchanged for prizes at the front desk.

Regional Flavors and Family Dining
At the buffet restaurant Printemps, the “Kids Free” campaign offers one complimentary meal for a child (elementary school age or younger) per adult for entries before 18:00. The restaurant also features a weekend candy-scooping game and the “Original A Lunch” Instagram Photo Contest. This contest encourages children to arrange their own version of “A Lunch,” a local Okinawan soul food platter typically consisting of fried items and rice, for a chance to win lunch vouchers. These dining initiatives provide a casual setting for families to engage with the region’s culinary culture.
