A Botanical Tribute to Seasonal Muscat
From July 1 to August 31, 2026, JW Marriott Hotel Nara invites guests to the Flying Stag lounge for a Muscat Afternoon Tea. Inspired by the atmosphere of a lush early summer garden, the experience centers on the vibrant green hues and juicy flavors of seasonal Muscat grapes. The menu is designed to evoke a stroll through a verdant landscape, incorporating botanical elements like elderflower and citrus to complement the fruit’s natural sweetness.

Artisanal Sweets and Savory Highlights
The curated selection includes five sweets and five savories that showcase the versatility of Muscat grapes. Highlights from the dessert menu include a Muscat macaron, elderflower blancmange with grape jelly, and a Muscat mille-feuille tartlet. On the savory side, the chef offers creative pairings such as white fish sashimi marinade with Muscat salsa verde and a Muscat and prosciutto mini dog. The experience is rounded out with two types of scones—lemon and elderflower, and raisin and cashew nut—served with free-flow coffee and tea.

Summer Elegance at Flying Stag
Located on the first floor of Nara’s first international luxury hotel, the Flying Stag lounge provides a sophisticated backdrop for this seasonal event. The Muscat Afternoon Tea is available daily from 12:00 to 17:00 for 7,590 JPY per person (including tax and service charge). This limited-time offering allows travelers to experience the refined hospitality of JW Marriott while enjoying the freshest flavors of the Japanese summer season.
