Grand Nikko Tokyo Daiba Unveils Shine Muscat Afternoon Tea

From September 1 to October 31, 2026, Grand Nikko Tokyo Daiba presents the “Shine Muscat Afternoon Tea ~A Sweet Reward~.” Held in the sun-drenched atrium of The Lobby Cafe, the experience is designed around the translucent light green hues of the fruit, focusing on the refreshing characteristics of the Shine Muscat variety through a series of technical pastry preparations.

A Sweet Reward Featuring Seasonal Shine Muscat

The menu takes inspiration from the peak of the autumn harvest, utilizing the grapes not only as a garnish but as a central component of each dish. The preparations aim to highlight the fruit’s natural sweetness and firm texture, contrasting them with light mousses and delicate sponges.

Creative Tiers of Sweets and Savories

The afternoon tea is arranged across three tiers. The upper and middle sections are dedicated to sweets, including a Shine Muscat verrine, a fromage blanc mousse, and cakes infused with coconut and Darjeeling tea. These layers provide a progression of flavors that complement the aromatic profile of the grapes.

The lower tier transitions into unique savories that integrate the fruit into more robust flavors. Highlights include a beef rillettes mini burger and a tart of chicken, uncured ham, and cream cheese, both of which incorporate the crisp sweetness of Shine Muscat to balance the savory elements.

Premium Ronnefeldt Tea Selection

Guests are offered a free-flow selection of 10 different beverages, featuring teas from the historic German brand Ronnefeldt. A seasonal specialty for this menu is “Morgentau,” a flavored Chinese green tea blended with rose petals and marigold, featuring notes of mango and bergamot specifically chosen to pair with the Shine Muscat.
