Starting in September, the hotel will host two distinct afternoon tea events in its Lobby Lounge, focusing first on the seasonal Shine Muscat grape before transitioning to a festive Halloween program that incorporates chestnuts and pumpkins.
Muscat Mania! Afternoon Tea
From September 4 to October 22, 2026, the hotel presents the “Muscat Mania!” Afternoon Tea. This menu is designed to highlight the specific sweetness and firm texture of Shine Muscat grapes. The selection includes a dedicated Shine Muscat parfait, fruit tarts, and mousses infused with cassis to provide a balanced acidity. The experience is accompanied by a range of savory items and tea selections, served in a 2-hour seating format.
Halloween Afternoon Tea: Muscat & Chestnut
Beginning October 23, 2026, the theme shifts to the Halloween Afternoon Tea “Muscat & Chestnut.” This event maintains the use of Shine Muscat while introducing autumnal staples such as pumpkin and chestnut. The menu features playful seasonal elements, including a Halloween Pumpkin Tart topped with a jack-o’-lantern motif, Black Chocolate Chestnut Brownies, and ghost-themed blancmange.
Urban Resort Experience in Osaka Bay
A central feature of the Halloween event is the “Freshly Squeezed Mont Blanc Parfait,” which is prepared in front of guests to showcase the preparation of the chestnut purée. Located on the 28th floor, Grand Prince Hotel Osaka Bay offers views of the sunset over the water and the city lights of the surrounding region. Rebranded in July 2023, the property serves as a base for visitors to the Kaiyukan Aquarium and Universal Studios Japan, with shuttle services connecting the hotel to major transit hubs.
