Seasonal Harvest: Summer Fruit Afternoon Tea at Hyatt Regency Yokohama

The Union Bar & Lounge at Hyatt Regency Yokohama has unveiled its “Summer Fruit Afternoon Tea,” a seasonal program running from July to August 2026. The menu focuses on ten specific fruits selected for their summer peak: white peach, watermelon, mango, passion fruit, coconut, plum, lemon, fig, blueberry, and banana. The experience begins with a “Peach Tropicana” welcome drink, which combines white peach herbal tea with fresh pineapple and mint to cleanse the palate.

A Symphony of Ten Seasonal Summer Fruits

The dessert selection includes eight items that highlight the distinct profiles of the featured produce. Notable inclusions are a white peach and verbena jelly layered with lychee mousse, and a watermelon tart paired with roasted banana and almond cream. The pastry team has also prepared a mango and passion fruit mousse, alongside a blueberry and coconut blancmange, ensuring a broad spectrum of tropical and temperate fruit flavors.

Innovative Savories and Tableside Shaved Ice

The tea service is distinguished by a live element where staff prepare mango shaved ice directly at the guest’s table. This dish features condensed milk and a concentrated mango sauce. To balance the sweetness, the savory menu includes a mini burger made with “Waton Mochibuta” pork and pineapple teriyaki, an eggplant and potato quiche inspired by moussaka, and a chilled gazpacho featuring amberjack, scallop, and white peach. Homemade fig scones served with clotted cream provide a traditional anchor to the contemporary menu.

The Summer Mojito Fair: Refreshing Seasonal Cocktails

Running concurrently with the afternoon tea is the “Summer Mojito Fair 2026.” The lounge offers four variations of the classic cocktail, utilizing fresh summer fruits. Guests can select from Lychee or Peach mojitos crafted with Bacardi Cuatro, or choose non-alcoholic “Virgin” versions featuring fresh watermelon or dragon fruit with orchid syrup. These beverages are served in the lounge’s central bar area, known for its high ceilings and dramatic crystal lighting.
