Four Seasons Hotel Osaka Introduces New GENSUI Ryokan Services

Located on the 28th floor of the Four Seasons Hotel Osaka, GENSUI is a dedicated concept floor designed to reinterpret the traditional ryokan (Japanese inn) for the modern international traveler. Comprising 21 rooms and suites, the space integrates classical elements of Japanese architecture with contemporary luxury, providing a meditative environment high above the city streets.

A Modern Reinterpretation of the Traditional Ryokan

The design of GENSUI centers on authentic Japanese materials and aesthetics. Each guest room features tatami (woven straw) flooring, shoji (paper) screens, and futon-style mattresses, creating a seamless blend of heritage and comfort. To facilitate an immersive stay, guests are provided with traditional amenities including yukata robes, zori sandals, and wooden bath accessories, encouraging a slower pace of life within the urban center.

Exclusive Culinary Experiences at SABO Lounge

The SABO lounge, reserved strictly for guests of the GENSUI floor, will introduce a new schedule of daily services starting June 1, 2026. The offerings include a Japanese Afternoon Tea, which pairs seasonal sweets with premium domestic teas. As evening approaches, the Sunset Hour Aperitif service will showcase regional sake and craft spirits alongside traditional savory small plates. For breakfast, guests may choose between a daily changing gozen (set meal) style Japanese breakfast served in the lounge or a buffet at Jardin, the hotel’s French bistro.
