Kanucha Resort in Nago City is set to evolve its winter programming with the debut of “Adventure Museum in Kanucha,” beginning November 1, 2026. This new initiative replaces the resort’s long-standing “Stardust Fantasia” event, shifting the focus toward an immersive cultural narrative. The concept reimagines the property’s 800,000-tsubo estate as a “Museum Resort,” where guests are invited to explore Okinawan history, nature, and culture through interactive installations under the theme of “Knowing Okinawa.”

A Narrative Approach to Okinawan Heritage
The event is designed as a multi-sensory journey that visitors can see, hear, and feel. Moving away from traditional light displays, the Adventure Museum uses story-based illuminations to guide guests through the resort’s various areas, each featuring themes dedicated to the region’s unique environment and history. Complementing the visual experience, a large-scale riddle-solving event utilizes the facility’s extensive footprint, encouraging guests to engage deeply with their surroundings as they uncover the stories of the island.
Comprehensive Day-to-Night Exploration
Unlike conventional illumination events that focus solely on evening hours, the Adventure Museum offers content accessible throughout the day. Located in the Yanbaru (a forested region in northern Okinawa) area, the resort functions as a self-contained destination. The estate features eight distinct styles of accommodation, a golf course, and over 50 activities, allowing guests to integrate the museum experience into a full day of exploration. The program is scheduled to run through February 14, 2027, providing a new winter perspective on the Okinawan landscape.
