AoAwo Naruto Resort, situated on the coast of Naruto in Tokushima Prefecture, has unveiled its schedule for the “Happy Halloween 2026” event. Running from September 12 to October 31, the program integrates seasonal festivities with local culinary traditions, offering guests a blend of interactive challenges, themed accommodations, and harvest-based activities.

Themed Accommodations and the Kids Passport
For the duration of the event, the resort will offer six limited-edition Halloween Rooms. These guest quarters are decorated with seasonal ornaments, including witch hats and magical motifs, designed for families. Guests booking the dedicated “Happy Halloween” accommodation plan receive a “Kids Passport” for elementary-aged children. This passport provides access to specific perks, including a complimentary themed sweet at Terrace Cafe Ohge, where desserts feature designs of ghosts and monsters.

Creative Workshops and Festival Traditions
The resort’s Art Studio will host seasonal workshops where guests can create Halloween-themed gel candles or photo frames. Beyond modern festivities, the resort maintains a connection to traditional Japanese autumn celebrations within its “Awa-no-Kuni” area. This space recreates the atmosphere of a classic festival, and participants in the Halloween plan receive a 500 yen voucher to use at the traditional carnival games located there.

Interactive Challenges and Seasonal Flavors
Interactive elements of the program include a riddle-solving hunt titled “Ghost Eight Lucky Gods” and trick-or-treating opportunities at the Marketplace. Guests who share photos of themselves in costumes at designated hotel photo spots on social media are eligible for a complimentary local beverage. At the cafe, seasonal confectionery includes the “Reaper Chocolat” and the “Mischievous Ghost Mont Blanc,” a chestnut-based dessert styled after a traditional French pastry.

The Naruto Kintoki Sweet Potato Harvest
Coinciding with the Halloween events, the resort offers a “Naruto Kintoki” sweet potato digging experience from September through November. Located at a private farm a seven-minute walk from the hotel, the activity allows participants to harvest approximately 1kg of the region’s famed golden sweet potatoes. Inside the resort, the theme continues with a unique crane game, the “Naruto Kintoki Catcher,” where players can attempt to win local potatoes.
