To celebrate its 29th anniversary, The Busena Terrace has announced a series of summer programs led by a collaboration with Michelin-starred gastronomy. Located on the Cape Busena peninsula, the resort continues its tradition of integrating regional Okinawan character with international culinary and environmental initiatives.

Mediterranean Gastronomy by Two-Star Chef Fabio Bragagnolo
From July 10 through September 30, 2026, the resort’s Main Dining “Fanuan” will feature the “Menu de Resurrection.” This special dinner course is supervised by Chef Fabio Bragagnolo of the two-star Michelin restaurant Casadelmar, located in Corsica. The menu is designed to blend Italian and French culinary influences, utilizing premium ingredients such as langoustine and traditional Sardinian fregola pasta. The experience aims to transport guests on a Mediterranean journey while overlooking the East China Sea.

Marine Conservation and Ocean Day Initiatives
On July 19, 2026, the resort will observe its 15th annual Ocean Day event, a program dedicated to the preservation of Okinawa’s coral reefs and marine life. Conducted in partnership with the Okinawa Convention & Visitors Bureau, the event includes the release of young spangled emperor fish, known locally as taman. Participants can also learn about coral transplantation efforts and observe coral planting from a mega-SUP, providing a direct connection to the local ecosystem.

New Summer Marine Activities and Sailing Experiences
The resort has expanded its “Terrace Style” lifestyle offerings with the introduction of “Lagoon Nature.” This comprehensive program combines cruising and snorkeling with a floating water obstacle course. Additionally, the resort’s catamaran yacht, Mahaina, has been updated with new sails. The vessel is used for both daytime sailing and sunset cruises, allowing guests to observe the changing colors of the horizon across the East China Sea.
