Starting July 22, 2026, Orion Hotel Motobu Resort & Spa will introduce the “Calpis Faucet” at its primary buffet restaurant, The Orion Brasserie & Table. This interactive service allows guests to pour Calpis, a popular Japanese cultured milk drink, directly from a tap. The initiative marks the first of its kind at a resort hotel in the northern part of Okinawa’s main island, specifically designed to provide an engaging dining element for families and younger guests.
A Dream Tap for Families and Children
The introduction of the faucet aims to create memorable moments through a simple, tactile experience. By allowing children to serve themselves the iconic white-and-blue branded beverage, the hotel adds a layer of novelty to the standard buffet format. The service is available throughout the day, spanning breakfast, lunch, and dinner sessions, as well as during afternoon cafe hours.
Enhanced Beverage Selection for All Generations
The Calpis Faucet is intended to complement the restaurant’s existing beverage program, which features free-flow Orion The Draft beer served directly from the keg. This dual offering ensures that while adults have access to fresh local beer, children and those preferring non-alcoholic options have a dedicated, interactive alternative. The service is a collaborative effort between the Orion Group and Asahi Orion Soft Drinks Co., Ltd., focusing on a dining experience that caters to multi-generational travel groups.
