CIEL et NUAGE to Open at The Windsor Hotel Toya in August 2026

The Windsor Hotel Toya Vignette Collection by IHG has announced the opening of CIEL et NUAGE, a new dining venue scheduled to debut on August 7, 2026. Located at the peak of Mount Poromoi, the restaurant is positioned as a central element of a broader restaurant reconstruction project. The space is designed to provide an immersive atmosphere where guests are surrounded by drifting clouds and panoramic vistas of the Hokkaido landscape.

French-Inspired Lunch and Teatime

The culinary program at CIEL et NUAGE focuses on French-inspired preparations that highlight seasonal ingredients. The lunch service includes three distinct courses: Le Ciel (￥5,445), which features a creative main dish; La Mer (￥7,260), which incorporates seasonal fish; and the signature Le Nuage (￥9,075), a full-course experience including both fish and meat dishes followed by a specialized dessert. For families, a dedicated Kid’s Plate is available for ￥4,659.

In the afternoon, the venue transitions to a tea salon. The Afternoon Tea (￥6,050) is composed of sweets crafted by the hotel’s pâtissiers and savory bites, intended to be enjoyed alongside the changing light and cloud formations visible from the top floor.

The Windsor Poromoi Burger

Named after the mountain on which the hotel stands, the signature Windsor Poromoi Burger (￥6,250) represents a localized take on a casual classic. The dish features a 200g homemade patty made from 100% Hokkaido beef, served on buns baked within the hotel. It is accompanied by a house-made BBQ sauce and a selection of local vegetables, offering a substantial meal option at the property’s highest elevation.

The Windsor Hotel Toya Vignette Collection by IHG maintains a significant profile in the Japanese hospitality landscape, having served as the primary venue for the 2008 G8 Hokkaido Toya Summit. It remains noted for being the only property to receive a five-star rating in the Michelin Guide 2017 Hokkaido Edition.
