Asakusa View Hotel has introduced its Summer Collection afternoon tea at THE TOP BAR Hanabi, located on the property’s 28th floor. The experience pairs a selection of seasonal fruit-based sweets and gourmet savories with unobstructed views of the Tokyo Skytree and the historic Asakusa district.

Panoramic Views from the 28th Floor

Situated high above the city, THE TOP BAR Hanabi offers a sky-high vantage point for observing the Tokyo skyline. The service is designed for a leisurely pace, with no designated time limit on seating. Each guest receives an individual tea stand, allowing for a personal dining experience while taking in the views of the landmark tower and the surrounding cityscape.

A Seasonal Symphony of Summer Fruits

The menu features 11 varieties of sweets crafted with seasonal produce, including peach, mango, and lychee. Highlights include a vanilla blancmange paired with Blue Hawaii jelly, a peach tart utilizing homemade compote, and a signature sweet inspired by the Kaminarimon (Thunder Gate), a famous local landmark. The selection also incorporates tropical elements such as coconut pancakes and passion fruit roll cakes.

Gourmet Savories Featuring Wagyu and Foie Gras

The savory selection consists of five dishes that provide a sophisticated balance to the sweeter offerings. Guests can sample a Wagyu roast shabu-shabu (thinly sliced meat) burger and grilled abalone served with the hotel’s original black curry on fifteen-grain rice. Other notable dishes include a foie gras mousse paired with peach compote and a chilled corn soup finished with a delicate layer of consommé.

Unlimited TWG Tea and Tropical Cocktails

Upon arrival, guests are served a “Tropical Veil” non-alcoholic welcome cocktail, which blends peach, mango, and passion fruit. The tea service includes unlimited pours from a selection of nine premium TWG Tea varieties, such as Eternal Summer Tea, Silver Moon Tea, and Geisha Blossom Tea. Standard coffee and cafe lattes are also available throughout the afternoon.
