Dhawa Yura Kyoto Debuts Shine Muscat Afternoon Tea with Tea Aromas

Dhawa Yura Kyoto has announced its Shine Muscat Afternoon Tea, a seasonal menu running from July 18 to September 14, 2026. Set within the hotel’s Lounge & Bar 1867, the experience centers on the aromatic profile of seasonal Shine Muscat grapes, complemented by botanical infusions of sencha, chamomile, and bergamot.

Botanical Notes and Seasonal Grapes

The sweets selection focuses on the natural sweetness of the grapes paired with nuanced tea and floral scents. The Shine Muscat Pain de Gênes features a diplomat cream infused with sour cream, while the Blancmange with Sencha and Shine Muscat utilizes a tea-based jelly to provide a clean finish that balances the fruit’s richness. Additional botanical elements appear in the chamomile-scented white chocolate ganache tart and a mousse of fromage blanc with bergamot.

A Savory Selection for the Summer Season

To balance the fruit-forward sweets, the menu includes four savory dishes designed for the warmer months. Guests are served cold cappellini with crispy prosciutto and charcoal-grilled eggplant, alongside edamame hummus with a cottage cheese salad. The set also includes a three-cheese baked risotto and a porchetta bagel sandwich, providing a visual and flavorful contrast of reds, greens, and whites.

Taisho Modern Aesthetics and Personalization

The setting for the tea service, Lounge & Bar 1867, draws inspiration from the Taisho Modern era, blending traditional Japanese architectural elements with Western-influenced decor. For those celebrating special occasions, the hotel offers customization options including original message plates and a selection of drinks available in five different colors. These features are designed to accommodate anniversaries or oshikatsu (the practice of supporting and celebrating one’s favorite artists or characters).
