From July 1 to August 31, 2026, the Osaka Marriott Miyako Hotel will host its Summer Gourmet Festival 2026 at COOKA. The event centers on a vibrant buffet inspired by tropical climates, offering guests a selection of dishes designed to evoke the atmosphere of an island getaway. The menu features a balance of chilled appetizers and warm, roasted items, emphasizing fresh seasonal produce and traditional Pacific flavors.

Summer Gourmet Festival 2026
The festival menu introduces several Hawaiian-inspired staples, including Ahi Poke—a seasoned tuna and avocado salad—and Garlic Shrimp. A highlight of the warm offerings is the Kalua Pig, a traditional dish of pork steamed in banana leaves to achieve a tender, smoky profile. Other featured items include Green Papaya and Glass Noodle Salad, reflecting the light, refreshing culinary style suited for the summer months.


Special Obon Period: Summer Family Buffet
During the Obon holiday from August 10 to August 14, the festival transitions into the Summer Family Buffet. This five-day event introduces upgraded menu items such as Foie Gras Bowls and Salmon Marinade served with an Avocado Parfait. To cater to families, the hotel will also host a balloon art event during both lunch and dinner sessions, where performers create personalized balloon gifts for younger guests. Colorful shaved ice will also be available, adding a festive element to the mid-summer celebration.

Cooka’s Standard and Seasonal Desserts
In addition to the seasonal tropical dishes, the buffet maintains its “Cooka’s Standard” selections, which include Roasted Japanese Beef and assorted tempura. Lunch service features California Rolls, while the dinner menu expands to include nigiri sushi with tuna and squid. The dessert station offers an array of sweets such as Petit Malasadas and French Toast prepared in a Pina Colada style. A dedicated Acai Bowl wagon service allows guests to customize their bowls, complemented by ten varieties of gelato and specialized glass desserts.
