The HOTEL Well-hub Haneda Rebrands as an Experience-Led Basecamp

The HOTEL Well-hub Haneda officially transitioned to an “experience-designed hotel” on July 6, 2026. Situated along the Tama River in close proximity to Haneda Airport, the property has been reimagined as a basecamp for international travelers, shifting the focus from traditional lodging to a hub for cultural immersion and outdoor activity.

A Basecamp for Cultural and Natural Exploration

The rebranding emphasizes the hotel’s role as a connection point between global visitors and local Japanese lifestyle. The architecture retains a warehouse-inspired aesthetic, serving as a gallery-like space where contemporary art and analog records provide a backdrop for daily programming. The concept aims to serve affluent travelers seeking a blend of learning and adventure within reach of Tokyo’s primary international gateway.

Inclusive Stays and Artistic Atmosphere

Central to the new identity is an inclusive stay model. Under this system, room rates encompass a variety of cultural workshops and evening entertainment. Guests can participate in sessions ranging from yoga and karate to traditional Japanese tea workshops. The communal spaces are designed to foster interaction, featuring live music and DJ sets amidst a collection of domestic and international artworks.

Riverside Sports and Regional Connectivity

The hotel leverages its waterfront location to promote nature sports tourism. Curated tours originate from the property, including kayaking at the Tama River estuary and riverside golf. For those looking further afield, the hotel facilitates access to cycling and surfing in the Shonan and Kamakura areas, providing a direct link to the natural landscapes of the Kanagawa coast.

Dining with Waterfront and Airport Views

Culinary offerings focus on regional craftsmanship and scenic settings. Sukiyaki “Oishi” serves selected wagyu from Hiyama, a butcher founded in 1912, paired with views of the airport at night. Alternatively, the RIVER CAFE provides a more casual setting, offering New York-style French cuisine and pizza overlooking the Tama River and the hotel’s green gardens.
