Grand Nikko Tokyo Daiba Introduces Tokushima Gastronomy Fair

Grand Nikko Tokyo Daiba has announced the launch of its “Gastronomy Plan ~Tokushima Fair~,” a three-month event dedicated to the diverse culinary heritage of Tokushima Prefecture. Running from September 1 to November 30, 2026, the fair features menus developed after hotel chefs visited local producers to source seasonal ingredients from the province’s mountains, rivers, and the Naruto Strait. Key highlights include Awa Beef, Awaodori chicken, and Naruto Sea Bream, each prepared to showcase the specific terroir of the Shikoku region.

A Gastronomic Journey Through Tokushima

The fair emphasizes the variety of Tokushima’s natural bounty, utilizing ingredients nurtured by the region’s unique geography. Diners can expect dishes featuring Naruto Kintoki sweet potatoes, known for their high sugar content, and the aromatic sudachi citrus. The menus are designed to reflect the transition of the season, with specific dish components changing after October 15, 2026, to ensure the use of peak-season produce.

Teppanyaki Icho, located on the 30th floor, serves a high-end course priced at ¥25,000, featuring aged Awa Beef and Naruto Sea Bream steamed on iron plates. Also on the top floor, The Grill on 30th offers courses from ¥14,000 and an a la carte “Three Major Brand Meat Platter” for ¥13,000, which includes Awa Beef, Awaodori chicken, and Awabiton pork. On the second floor, Chinese Restaurant Toh-Lee provides a Cantonese interpretation of the theme, with dishes such as Tokushima Ramen and red sea bream steamed in lotus leaves.
