A Fusion of Spice and Heritage at Hotel The Celestine Tokyo Shiba

For the month of August, Hotel The Celestine Tokyo Shiba is hosting a limited-time Summer Ethnic Fair at its flagship restaurant, La Pelouse Tokyo. The event bridges the hotel’s culinary lineage with vibrant Asian aromatics, offering a seasonal menu that reimagines traditional recipes through a contemporary spice-led lens. The fair provides a unique intersection of flavors, where the history of the former Satsuma domain site meets modern international profiles.

Traditional Flavors Meet Exotic Spices

The fair showcases a selection of main dishes that incorporate fragrant Asian essences into the traditional flavors passed down by former Executive Chef Koide. Guests can choose from options such as the Chef’s Special Keima Curry, which enhances the hotel’s representative curry recipe with deep umami and specific Asian spices. Other available mains include Red Curry Noodles and a Spicy Neapolitan pasta.

Modern French Dining with Satsuma Heritage

La Pelouse Tokyo is situated on the first floor of the hotel, occupying the former site of the Satsuma Domain’s Edo mansion. The restaurant’s regular culinary direction focuses on modern French cuisine that highlights ingredients linked to Kagoshima, paying homage to the site’s heritage. The interior provides a high-quality atmosphere where Japanese and Western design elements intertwine, creating a setting suitable for both casual weekend dining and refined evening courses.
