A Sensory Tribute to Heritage and Hospitality
Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group has collaborated with the Omani luxury fragrance house Amouage to create “Whispers Of The Fan,” an exclusive new amenity collection. To capture the essence of the group’s heritage, Amouage’s creative team traveled to the brand’s flagship locations in Hong Kong and Bangkok. The resulting fragrance is inspired by the 11-ribbed fan of the Mandarin Oriental logo, translating the brand’s history and service into a specific olfactory experience.

The Art of the Eleven Notes
The collection features a complex blend of 11 distinct notes: lemongrass, mandarin, coconut, ginger, lotus flower, jasmine, rice, tea, bamboo, incense, and silk. This palette reflects the cultures of Hong Kong and Bangkok while subtly referencing Amouage’s Omani roots. The product range includes shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, hand wash, hand and body lotion, and a signature soap shaped like the Amouage royal emblem. Each formula is vegan, cruelty-free, and composed of 97% natural and organic ingredients.
Sustainable Luxury and Global Rollout
Emphasizing a commitment to responsible luxury, the collection is presented in custom-designed, sustainable refillable bottles developed by Amouage. These durable, ceramic-textured vessels utilize a patented pump system by ADA Cosmetics to ensure hygiene and safety. The rollout began in June 2024 at properties in Hong Kong, Barcelona, and Mallorca, with a phased implementation across all Mandarin Oriental hotels worldwide scheduled for completion by the end of 2026.
