Scheduled to open on July 25, 2026, Onjuku Itsukiri is a luxury 10-villa resort situated on the white sands of Onjuku Beach in Chiba Prefecture. The property introduces a “Satoumi Retreat” concept, focusing on a sensory connection to the coastal landscape through private wellness facilities and regional gastronomy.

Located directly on the Pacific coast, Onjuku Itsukiri expands the philosophy of its sister property in the Isumi hills to the shoreline. The resort is designed as a satoumi (a coastal landscape where human activity and nature coexist in harmony) retreat, intended to blend with the beach environment. The experience emphasizes the five senses, utilizing the natural landscape of the Boso Peninsula to provide a restorative environment for guests.

The resort consists of 10 spacious two-story villas, including the 141-square-meter Presidential Suite and 100-square-meter Premium Suites. The Presidential Suite features four bedrooms and two private saunas, accommodating up to 10 guests. Each villa is equipped with a private onsen (natural hot spring) offering both indoor and open-air baths, a private sauna, and a cold plunge pool. Eight of the villas also feature private infinity pools overlooking the ocean. To accommodate travelers with pets, five of the ten units are designated as dog-friendly, providing direct access to the beach.

Culinary offerings are overseen by the chef of Roppongi’s kappo (a style of traditional Japanese dining) restaurant, Kappo Ikkon. The menus focus on washoku (traditional Japanese cuisine) courses prepared with seafood sourced from Onjuku Fishing Port and produce from the local Boso region. Guests can choose from four dining experiences: a full course at the ocean-view restaurant, private in-villa dining, an exclusive 6-seat chef’s counter featuring live preparation, or a coastal grill BBQ on the villa’s outdoor terrace.
