Beat the Heat: 1955 Tokyo Bay Debuts Summer Time-Shift Stay Plan

As summer temperatures continue to rise, 1955 Tokyo Bay by Hoshino Resorts is introducing a practical alternative to traditional sightseeing schedules. From July 1 to August 31, 2026, the property will offer the “Beat the Heat! Time-Shift Stay Plan,” designed specifically for travelers who prefer to spend the hottest hours of the day in climate-controlled comfort before heading to nearby theme parks in the cooler evening.

Smart Summer Travel with Early Check-in and Cooling Amenities

The core of the plan is a 14:00 check-in, granting guests access to their rooms one hour earlier than the standard time. This allows for a restorative midday break in air-conditioned ocean-view rooms during the peak of solar radiation. To assist with outdoor excursions later in the day, the plan includes original cooling gear: a clear bottle and a cooling muffler towel, both featuring the hotel’s mid-century inspired logo. These can be prepared at the hotel’s dedicated water stations, ensuring guests remain hydrated and cooled during their evening travels.

Ocean-View Summer Sweets at 1955 Seaside Cafe

Between 14:00 and 16:00, the hotel opens the “1955 Seaside Cafe,” a limited-time venue located within the cafeteria. Guests on the Time-Shift plan receive access to a “Summer Sweets Plate,” which features blue cupcakes and beach-themed jellies. The experience is designed to be interactive, allowing guests to decorate their plates with shell and fish-shaped sweets while enjoying free-flow soft drinks. The space offers a quiet, panoramic environment to recharge before the evening’s activities begin.

Enhanced Shuttle Services for Evening Park Access

Recognizing the growing trend of visiting Tokyo Disney Resort® during the twilight hours, the hotel has adjusted its logistics. Shuttle bus frequency to the resort will be increased during the 14:00 and 16:00 time slots, minimizing the time guests spend waiting outdoors. Complementing the stay plan, the hotel will host the “California Summer Vacation 1955” event, transforming the public spaces with 1950s surf-culture decor and serving American-style snow cones to maintain the seasonal atmosphere.
