Running from September 15 to October 31, the seasonal takeover centers on the concept of a castle salon reimagined as a haunted chamber. The decor balances festive cheer with a more mature, eerie aesthetic, featuring Jack-o’-lanterns that appear to shift from bright orange into mischievous, dark forms as the day fades.
A Spooky Fantasy Guest Room Experience
The transformation focuses on the hotel’s Castle Salon rooms, where the interior is detailed with spider webs across windows and frames. The design narrative follows the transformation of a once-elegant reception room into a space where ghosts are said to gather for a nightly party. This seasonal atmosphere is designed to provide a bridge between the bright celebrations of the surrounding resort and a more immersive, storytelling-driven stay.
Immersive Halloween Storytelling and Costumes
Under the “Halloween Spooky Night Stay” plan, guests are invited to take on the role of protagonists within the hotel’s seasonal tale. The experience begins at the room entrance, which is adorned with black mesh and seasonal wreaths. Inside, the walls feature artwork of haunted manors that contribute to the creepy atmosphere. To enhance the immersive quality of the stay, each room is equipped with witch cloaks and hats, allowing guests to dress up for commemorative photos within the themed environment.
Seasonal Halloween Sweets at Atelier California
Atelier California, located on the first floor of the hotel’s West Side, is offering a limited-edition menu of Halloween sweets to complement the stay. The “Curly Jack” is a pumpkin cream tart layered with custard and whipped cream, designed with a decorative piped exterior. For a lighter option, the “Cutie Ghost” features a rare cheesecake with a blueberry jelly center, wrapped in a layer of gyuhi (a soft, thin rice cake) to create a ghostly figure. These treats are available throughout the season, though the larger pumpkin tart requires a reservation at least one week in advance.
